The UAE government has plans for nurseries, schools and universities to open but no firm date has been give yet.

Students across have been sticking to their own routines and recreating their own version of school or university at home to get their academic work done. All this is expected to end after the Ministry of Education said that it expects schools to reopen by September.

The current plan of action is to reopen nurseries, schools and universities by September, although no official date has been set just yet.

Strict guidelines that authorities are enforcing to prepare for students’ arrival are firmly in place.

Campuses will be sterilised daily and the temperatures of all students, teachers and staff will be checked every morning.

Children with special health conditions will be monitored closely to ensure they are coping okay. For now, all group activities, functions and trips will be postponed or cancelled till further notice.

Schools have been closed since early this year and although it may not look or feel the same to be back, this is positive news. This decision comes on the back of the increasing number of recoveries in comparison to the number of COVID-19 infections.
